Happy Halloween!

We have had a great month working with all types of clients – political, corporate, non-profit, and more! Today we’re having a costume contest at Majic – please check out our Facebook page to see the staff’s favorite costume :)

In honor of Halloween, we had the privilege of working with Underwood Events to custom design content for a beautiful projection mapped house. Check out the video link in the newsletter! This technology is so much fun to work with and we can’t wait to continue using it in the future.

I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween!

President & CEO

We thought projection mapping would be the perfect video element when we were asked to enhance a home with lighting and video for a Halloween event produced by Underwood Events. We always love working with Underwood Events and this event was no exception.

Our in-house digital media specialist worked hard to ensure that all elements of this projection mapped home were thought through. From “search-lights” shining from the outside of the building to the inside of the building, to the creepy ghost in the windows, this was certainly a showstopper!

For those who may be unfamiliar with projection mapping, the best way to describe this technology is to think of it as a video screen that can be perfectly adjusted to fit different elements of a pre-existing structure. For example, we “map” the windows of the home so that they can act as their own projection screen that can either work in conjunction with the rest of the structure or separate from the rest of the structure. This is different from a standard screen and projector because a screen is a solid flat surface and usually doesn’t need other custom elements to be displayed within the same surface. The video content is used to tell a story based on the architectural details of the structure – in this case this beautiful home. This technology can be used for set designs, full building enhancement, etc. The possibilities are literally endless.

The best way to understand this technology is truly to see it in action! We hope you enjoy this video and would love to be a part of your next projection mapped project.

For more information on this technology or if you’d like to speak with us about an event, please contact Majic Productions at (414) 839-1760.

A spider costume? The humans really thought I would look best as a spider for Halloween? What about a hamburger, a salmon treat, or a brick of cheese costume? Those are things I like. Spiders, not so much. #disappointed #maybenextyear
