I can’t believe the holidays are almost here!A handful of us are traveling to Las Vegas for the LDI tradeshow this week. This tradeshow is literally an audiovisual toy store that sells the newest and best equipment. Not only are we able to meet with the manufacturers of the lines we represent, but we are also providing production support for a manufacturer’s booth at the show. We are all very excited for this trip (the warm weather in Las Vegas doesn’t hurt either)!Monica and I are also incredibly proud of Jessica, our Business Development Manager, for being awarded the “Rising Star” award by the National Association of Catering Executives. This is a huge honor for Jessica, as well as for Majic, and we are incredibly excited about her accomplishments. If you happen to see Jessica in the next few weeks, feel free to take a lead from Clinton, our Warehouse Manager, and tell her that she has been shining very brightly lately!

One of the biggest things we pride ourselves on at Majic is our creativity. We really like to think of new and exciting ways to brighten up an event for our clients and their guests. We enjoy learning about an event in detail and suggesting ideas that are unique and functional for the space. A great example of this was the giant chandelier we set up for Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The client envisioned an oversized fixture mimicking The Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. The above photo by Front Room Photography shows how we brought this vision to life with dozens of smaller chandeliers to create a giant effect. This chandelier turned into a focal point of the room and we were thrilled to feel the wonderful energy (and social buzz) it brought to the space throughout the evening.
While this is an example of a beautiful large piece, we are also creative with smaller set ups as well. Sometimes something as simple as changing where the projectors and screens are set up can drastically improve the layout of a room. We love to offer suggestions to our clients and help in any way that we can.
We are always available to sit down and talk about your event and brainstorm the best audiovisual solutions for your space. We would love to hear from you! Please contact us with any event needs.
Humans are so embarrassing. They thought it’d be funny to dress me up as a submarine for Halloween and call me a subWOOFer. I am so much better than this. I am the VP of Morale, for goodness sake’s! Next year’s costume idea: sophisticated chic.
