A NOTE FROM OUR FEARLESS LEADER

June has been such a fun and busy month for us! This month, we are enjoying working on wonderful outdoor events such as the U.S. Open, corporate parties, non-profit runs/walks and weddings!

While it may seem hard to believe, we are also already booking out for events this winter! If you are planning a fall or winter event, let us know! We would love to help be a part of the creative process with you. As always, thanks for making Majic such a special place. We have the best clients in the world!

117TH U.S. OPEN

This year, Majic had the prestigious honor of being contracted to produce the lighting in the tents at the 117th U.S. Open. This was such a fun event and we are so grateful to have been involved in the process.

The U.S. Open is one of the largest golf tournaments in the world. This year it was held at Erin Hills in Erin, WI. What most people don’t realize is that whenever a tournament comes to town, the entire golf course turns into a functioning “village” with tented dining, entertaining, and even medical areas. We worked on over a dozen tents! Overall, Majic installed nearly 1,000 light fixtures, set up hundreds of feet of trussing, and ran miles upon miles of cabling throughout the course.

Our setup for the U.S. Open began in mid-April and Majic had a crew of staff setting up the tent lighting for nearly two months. For some of us, the course became a second home (and what a beautiful second “home” to have)! We love Wisconsin and were so proud to help showcase Wisconsin’s beauty to the rest of the world. Thank you to the USGA for choosing Wisconsin (and Majic) for this year’s tournament!

Golf is confusing. When I see a ball flying through the air, I run after it and bring it back. Duhhh…. that’s called fetch…. apparently that’s bad golf etiquette? #idontgetit
