About Us

Majic Productions is a Midwestern-based sound, video and lighting production company that will blow you away with a perfect storm of creativity, passion, professionalism, and expertise.

Creative ideas for your next event

Our audiovisual designers and technicians push the limits of creativity with ideas that are fresh, unexpected, but polished… perfectly aligned with your goals in every way, whether you want to wow a crowd, support a cause, introduce products, celebrate accomplishments, or mark a milestone.

We use state-of-the-art equipment to maximize production quality, and also offer additional services such as custom décor that reinforces your event message and theme.

A passion for making our clients sound and look their best

When President Mike Jurken was just 12, he discovered his love of music and technology could be turned into an entertainment business. Even at that young age, he learned that treating customers well and delivering an excellent experience would result in success.

Today, the company he founded – Majic Productions – has grown into one of the premier sound and lighting companies in the region with more than 40 audiovisual professionals! We still believe in giving our customers over-the-top service. And we still have a great time putting together events that entertain and impress!

We love what we do! And we think you will too. If you’re planning a corporate event, wedding, gala or fundraiser, or you have a gig on the calendar, we would welcome the chance to talk with you about the handling your sound, lighting and video needs.

Hailing from Brookfield, Michael started Majic at the age of twelve (did you know Majic stands for “Michael A Jurken Is Cool”?). He received a scholarship to the University of Miami for musical theater (he has been known to belt out anything from television jingles to rock operas to Disney classics throughout the day and enjoys testing the acoustics in the bathrooms at Majic), and then transferred to UW-Madison to continue to build the company. He now travels the country and world with Majic, managing new projects, seeking cutting edge technologies and expanding the business. In his free time Mike enjoys boating, trying new restaurants and visiting the sunshine state of Florida.

Jessica grew up in Brookfield, WI, graduated from UW (Go Badgers!), spent a few years skiing/biking/nannying/living the dream in Colorado, and then moved back to the state she loves most. Her soft spot for Majic’s fundraising events stems from the four fun years she spent planning events at a non-profit and the volunteer work she does at multiple organizations in the Milwaukee area. Jessica now does a bit of everything behind the scenes at Majic, and still makes sure her coworkers are recycling. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her son and husband, finding deals and cooking.
